I absolutely love this site. If you have ever heard a slang term or phrase and did not know what it meant, more than likely you will find it here. You can even put in common terms or phrases that you didn't think had an alternate meaning in the world of urban slang and find some interesting stuff.

Here are some examples to get you started:

Street Creep- A new pejorative term for Wall Street executives who raked in huge bonuses while plunging the world into economic chaos.

Internet Anytime Minutes- What office workers use when they are being the "most productive" at their jobs.

Buddy Pounce- IMing someone as soon as they sign on.

The list goes on and on. This site encourages visitors to add to the dictionary. So if you have a saying or a phrase you commonly hear or use and it is not listed you can add it to the site.

Just as the name of the site states, you will find some strange, interesting, useless and funny facts. This is a fun site to visit. You can surf through page after page of little known facts that have very little use except to tickle your funny bone or make you say "OMG!".

Here are a few examples:

- "Like fingerprints, everyone’s tongue print is different."

- "If a cricket were the size of Mount Rushmore, it could jump to the moon."

- "Pain is measured in units of “dols”. The instrument used to measure pain is a “dolorimeter”."

I found this site surfing the net while watching American Idol. This is a rather interesting concept to say the least. The ideal is to garner the most votes for the Idol Contestant that the produders hate to see win.

Who could not be hungry after looking at all the delicious looking food on this website. I know that I got hungry after clicking through the first first few pages. Tastespotting features pictures of food submitted by their food loving members.

What I like most about the site in addition to all the salivating pictures is it's nice clean layout. It is easy on the eyes and easy to maneuver. If you are ready to get your taste buds bursting, take a trip to Tastespotting.

This website has archived some of the most absurd inventions ever patented! Just browse through the archive and you will find some dandies. For example:

Jacques Fido - Scuba gear for dogs....

Diaper Alarm - A sensor you put on your baby's diaper to know when they are wet...

Sleep Sponge - Not sure what the point of this invention is but someone patented it....

You get the idea, literally. The neat part is that this site also provides resources for anyone looking to register a patent and also will stimulate your creative juices if you are interesting in inventing something.

Not only is this a fun place to surf but you may be able to take one of these absurd ideas, put a twist on it and make it better.
